Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public Assistance to Unravel Tragic Cliff Crash That Killed Woman in 1,000-Foot Plunge

Sheriff's office asking for public's help finding what caused deadly crash after a woman drove off a cliff and her car fell 1,000 feet


PRESCOTT, Ariz. — The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking information regarding a fatal crash that occurred on August 16. Kristin Little, aged 39, lost her life after her vehicle drove off a cliff near Thumb Butte Road.

Emergency responders were alerted to the scene after reports indicated a car had plunged approximately 1,000 feet down the mountainside. Upon investigation, deputies discovered Little’s body at a midpoint during the descent; she had been ejected from her 1995 white Toyota 4Runner.

The accident is believed to have taken place between 7:30 and 8 p.m. on the evening of the crash. Detectives are now appealing to the public for any information related to the incident, especially regarding the Toyota 4Runner or other vehicles that may have been in the vicinity at the time.

The sheriff’s office stated, “Your information, no matter how small it may seem, could be crucial in helping to piece together the events leading up to this tragic incident.” They emphasize that all tips are valuable.
