MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is probing the deaths of two teenagers discovered on May 27 along State Route 87, situated between Mesa and Payson. The deceased have been identified as Pandora Kjolsrud, 18, and 17-year-old Evan Clark.

Both teens were students at Arcadia High School in the Scottsdale Unified School District. In response to this tragic incident, a letter has been circulated among the school community informing parents and students of the situation.

The county medical examiner has classified the deaths as “homicides,” prompting the Sheriff’s Office to initiate a homicide investigation. “Our focus remains on a thorough and detailed investigation to ensure justice for the victims and their families,” stated the sheriff’s office.
