Sheriff Lamb To Join Federation For American Immigration Reform

By Daniel Stefanski |

Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb has recently been appointed as a Law Enforcement Advisor for the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). This announcement came from FAIR late last month, marking a significant step in Lamb’s career as he engages with immigration issues on a national scale.

FAIR has indicated that Lamb’s role will involve spearheading law enforcement outreach efforts. He is expected to collaborate with various officers and agencies nationwide, sharing his expertise on the challenges of illegal immigration. Additionally, Lamb will be a media spokesperson and participate in podcasts discussing relevant immigration topics.

Expressing enthusiasm for his new position, Lamb stated on a podcast, “I’m excited. I want to stay involved with the border and in law enforcement. What better opportunity than right through FAIR?” His commitment to address border issues continues, emphasizing the importance of his work.

Julie Kirchner, executive director of FAIR, praised Lamb’s extensive experience, noting that his insights into the complexities of illegal immigration will be invaluable as they develop solutions alongside local law enforcement. “His firsthand knowledge of the dangers local communities face due to mass illegal immigration makes him a valuable asset,” Kirchner remarked.

Lamb gained national recognition while serving as sheriff in Pinal County, an area prone to illegal immigration and cartel activity. Situated between the southern border and Maricopa County, Pinal County has become a crucial route for such activities. In his tenure, Lamb has hosted officials from across the country, providing them with firsthand views of the ongoing challenges, including drug smuggling.

As his term concludes at the end of this year, Lamb will step back from public service after eight years of oversight, managing over 600 personnel. Reflecting on his administration, he noted, “I think when people look at me, they see a conservative sheriff, but they don’t realize I’m working hard for reentry and supporting those in our community.” Lamb emphasized the importance of treating individuals with respect, despite their illegal status, recognizing their circumstances.

“We’ve injected humanity into this profession, but we won’t accept negative social agendas,” he affirmed. “We’ll uphold our principles while protecting everyone’s rights.”

Republican Ross Teeple, who previously served as one of Lamb’s Lieutenant Sheriffs, has been elected as Pinal County Sheriff, securing nearly 64% of the vote. Teeple comes with over thirty years of service in Arizona and the U.S. Navy, having earned Lamb’s endorsement during his campaign.
