In her message shared on Sunday afternoon, Shakira expressed her disappointment, stating, “I am very sad that I will not be able to take the stage today. I have been deeply emotional and excited about reuniting with my beloved Peruvian audience.” Her heartfelt words reflect her dedication to her fans.
Shakira had arrived in Peru on Friday, intending to perform on both Sunday and Monday as part of her Latin American tour, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. This tour follows successful performances in Brazil and marks her ongoing commitment to connecting with fans across the region.
Throughout her brief stay, Shakira received a warm welcome, with enthusiastic crowds gathering at the airport to greet her. She acknowledged this affectionate reception in a post, saying, “Thank you for such an emotional welcome, Lima!”
In light of her condition, Shakira remains hopeful for a swift recovery. She shared her intent to reschedule the concert, stating, “My plan is to perform this show as soon as possible.
