Serious Injuries Emerge from Multi-Vehicle Collision on Loop 101

PHOENIX — Loop 101 westbound has been closed at 27th Avenue due to a significant weather-related crash early Monday morning. This incident occurred around milepost 20, near 43rd Avenue, amid storms affecting the Valley.
The collision involved four vehicles, and authorities from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) confirmed that there are serious injuries, although specific details about the victims have not yet been revealed.
In addition to the closure on Loop 101, both north and south Interstate 17 access ramps onto the highway are also closed. Motorists are advised to exit the highway at 27th Avenue as they seek alternate routes.
