Serious Burns Sustained in West Valley Propane Explosion and Fire
BUCKEYE, Ariz. — Two separate fire incidents in Buckeye have resulted in one individual sustaining serious injuries, as reported by local authorities.
The first incident involved a garage fire located near Rooks Road and Southern Avenue. Firefighters were able to control and extinguish the flames rapidly, and there were no reported injuries from this event.
The second fire, sparked by a propane explosion, occurred near Sun Valley Parkway and Desert Oasis Boulevard. Upon arrival, Buckeye Fire and Medical crews quickly contained the blaze. Unfortunately, one person suffered burns affecting approximately 25% of their body, primarily on the arms and legs. This individual is currently being transported to a hospital for treatment.
Local authorities are conducting investigations into the causes of both fires. Further information remains undisclosed at this time.
