Wacey C. Bee, a 34-year-old from Maricopa, has seen the consequences of his alleged criminal behavior escalate dramatically over the last year. For over a decade, he managed to evade substantial legal repercussions, though his repeated encounters with the law indicate a troubling pattern.
The saga began back in 2011 when Bee was arrested in Gallup, New Mexico, for driving without a license while intoxicated. Subsequent charges, including aggravated battery and false imprisonment, were all dismissed. Despite multiple run-ins with the law, such as shoplifting in 2017 and public drunkenness in 2022, he faced little accountability.
However, this trend changed drastically when Bee embarked on a crime spree last year. Between August 30 and October 12, he was arrested five times for various offenses, including shoplifting and trespassing. His failure to appear for his arraignment in Holbrook Justice Court resulted in an indefinite suspension of his driver’s license and an arrest warrant for failing to appear.
Despite being charged with a multitude of crimes, Bee’s latest court appearances revealed an unusual lack of immediate consequences. On September 19, 2023, he faced shoplifting charges in Casa Grande, and failed to appear once more. Yet, at a subsequent hearing, he pleaded guilty to three shoplifting and two trespassing charges filed in early September, but avoided jail time.
Before his court date, Bee was seen at The Roost, a sports bar in Maricopa. Details on the incident remain sparse, but it appears he was trespassed from the establishment following disruptive behavior. Ironically, shortly after receiving leniency from the court, he was arrested again for returning to the bar against prior directives.
According to the Maricopa Police Department, Bee allegedly refused to leave the property when asked by staff, leading to new trespassing charges. This ongoing pattern of defiance has put him at a crossroads.
In addition to these local issues, Bee is facing felony drug charges from earlier this year in Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court, indicating his legal woes are far from over. As his story continues to unfold, many are left questioning the future implications of his actions.
