Serial abuser robbed ex while he was pooing — then, cops smashed his window

A Maricopa woman was arrested on multiple charges, including felony burglary, after an alarming incident involving her ex-boyfriend. Delphina M. Whitehorse, 32, was taken into custody on Monday after she allegedly entered her ex-partner’s residence while he was using the toilet, stole his wallet and car keys, and locked herself inside his truck.

The Maricopa Police Department received a disturbance call around 5 p.m. Officers discovered Whitehorse inside her ex-boyfriend’s truck, which was running, and noted her bloodshot eyes and flushed face. Attempts to have her exit the vehicle were unfruitful; officers ultimately had to break the driver’s side window to remove her.

Upon being apprehended, Whitehorse struggled against the officers, managing to escape one cuff momentarily before being restrained again. She was found in possession of stolen credit cards belonging to her ex-boyfriend. In the truck, police also recovered two Fireball shooters—one empty and the other only half-filled.

The ex-boyfriend reported a series of erratic communications from Whitehorse prior to the incident. In a confrontation, he found her yelling accusations while he was in the bathroom. After she refused to leave, she allegedly made off with his belongings.

This latest arrest marks yet another incident in a pattern of legal troubles for Whitehorse, who has faced multiple domestic violence charges since 2018. Her previous offenses range from DUI incidents to endangerment involving their daughter.

In previous encounters with law enforcement, Whitehorse has shown a propensity for violence and erratic behavior. Notably, in February, she was accused of damaging property and holding her ex-boyfriend against his will during a drunken altercation.

Whitehorse’s legal history has seen her before Pinal County judges ten times since 2018. The culmination of her actions has led to a series of arrests, with the most recent charges including felony burglary with domestic violence enhancements, significantly increasing the potential penalties she faces if convicted.

As the judicial process unfolds, the situation highlights ongoing concerns regarding domestic violence and the importance of available resources for those affected.
