Senita man charged with shooting 347 motorist over hand gesture

The Arizona Department of Public Safety has identified Randolph John Rose Jr., 41, as the suspect in a shooting incident on State Route 347 early yesterday morning. The confrontation reportedly stemmed from an obscene hand gesture exchanged between drivers.

At approximately 3:47 a.m., state troopers responded to multiple reports of gunfire near Cement Plant Road. According to DPS spokesperson Bart Graves, Rose shot through the passenger side window of his vehicle, injuring another driver in the hand.

Witnesses at the scene observed a white Dodge Ram truck with a bullet hole in its passenger window. The response included multiple units from the Maricopa and Gila River Police Departments around 4 a.m.

Rose has since been booked into the Pinal County jail, facing serious charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, endangerment, and drive-by shooting.
