State Senator Mark Finchem is set to engage constituents in an important discussion regarding vacation rentals in northern Arizona. He will host a forum in Yavapai County later this month, inviting residents to share their thoughts and concerns about the growing prevalence of these rentals.

In his recent announcement, Finchem emphasized the urgency of the issue, stating, “This forum will offer a unique opportunity to hear about the problems associated with the explosion of vacation rentals that are replacing single-family homes at an alarming pace.” He pointed out that mayors from various cities, including Page, Oro Valley, Sedona, and Prescott, are responding to increasing pressure from their communities regarding this issue.

Approximately ten mayors from municipalities across the state are expected to attend, providing a platform for open dialogue during a question-and-answer segment.

The “Mayors Forum for the People” is scheduled for Thursday, February 20, from 2-4 PM at Embry-Riddle University in Prescott.

Finchem, currently serving his first term after winning the Republican primary last summer, has gained recognition as the Chairman of the Senate Federal Relations Committee and as a member of both the Judiciary and the Natural Resources, Energy & Water Committees.
