Sen. Bolick Unveils Bold Recommendations for Voter Empowerment

By Daniel Stefanski |
Arizona’s political landscape is heating up as state Senator Shawnna Bolick, a Republican, advocates for key ballot measures ahead of the upcoming election. In the latest newsletter from the Arizona Senate Republicans, Bolick emphasized the importance of voter involvement in shaping the state’s future.
“We are just days away from a crucial election that will determine the future of Arizona and our nation,” Bolick stated. She highlighted the party’s efforts to pass significant propositions despite opposition from Democrats, stating, “We worked tirelessly to provide voters with the opportunity to have the final say on key issues.” Propositions 133 through 315 will be on the ballot for voters’ consideration.
Among the notable measures is the ‘Secure the Border Act’ (Prop 314), aimed at empowering law enforcement to arrest individuals crossing the border illegally. This comes after the governor vetoed original legislature addressing border security. Another significant proposal is the ‘Children Are Not For Sale’ measure (Prop 313), which seeks to impose life sentences on those convicted of child sex trafficking.
Bolick urged voters to participate by submitting their ballots by October 29 or voting in person on November 5, warning of potential long lines at polling stations. Despite the limited polling on Arizona’s propositions, a recent survey by Noble Predictive Insights indicated that Prop 314 has garnered 63% support.
As the election nears, Bolick is fighting to maintain her Senate seat against Democratic challenger Judy Schwiebert, representing Legislative District 2. This district has a history of competitiveness, with a slim 3.8% vote margin in previous elections. Democrats have held a strong presence, but Republicans have triumphed in six out of the last nine state-wide contests.
