Sedona will feature on American Dream TV

The television program “The American Dream” is set to introduce a new segment titled “Selling Sedona” in April. Hosted by Kris Anderson, a Sedona native and local Realtor, the segment is produced by Craig Sewing from San Diego.

Anderson initially aspired to become a TV reporter while studying at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. However, she pivoted to pursue a dual degree in communications and business. This upcoming project signifies a realization of her long-held dream, allowing her to integrate her diverse skills.

“I feel like what I wanted to start doing, I’m here later in my life, and I’m getting this opportunity,” she expressed. Anderson is no stranger to television, having appeared on HGTV’s “House Hunters.”

Sewing emphasized the segment’s optimistic focus. “It’s positive media, uplifting, and niched in real estate, lifestyle, and culture. We aim to explore various neighborhoods and illustrate why people cherish these areas,” he explained. They rigorously vet participants to ensure only the top professionals represent each market. Their connection with Anderson was immediate, leading to her role in sharing Sedona’s unique stories.

Each episode of “American Dream TV” runs for 30 minutes and features real estate professionals discussing their communities in five-minute segments. “Kris will represent Sedona while agents from across Arizona cover places like Phoenix and Scottsdale,” Sewing added. The show’s mantra is to provide “positive media niched in neighborhoods,” countering prevalent negativity with a focus on the positive aspects of communities across the country.

Within each segment, about 80% will center on local lifestyle and charitable efforts, while the remaining 20% will showcase residential architecture and real estate. Featured guests include Sedona wine bar owners Johnathan and Lauren Maldonado, gallery owner Linda Goldenstein, and Nancy Weinman from an architectural service company. The segment will also highlight the Fine Art Museum of Sedona and Low-Income Student Aid nonprofits. “It’s not going to be scripted; it will be authentic and focus on local residential real estate,” Anderson stated.

Anderson has committed to producing six segments over the course of a year, with aspirations to extend the project afterward. For inquiries, she can be contacted at (480) 567-2103 or via email.
