Search Intensifies for Missing Individual at Tempe Town Lake After Mysterious Disappearance

TEMPE, Ariz. — Recovery efforts are in progress following a reported drowning at Tempe Town Lake, where a person went under the water and has not resurfaced since Wednesday evening.

Authorities initiated search operations around 10 p.m. after a witness alerted police about the incident. Despite extensive efforts that night, first responders could not locate the individual.

Tempe Town Lake prohibits swimming due to hazardous currents, and tragically, two drownings have been recorded in the lake this year alone.
