Excessive Heat continues for the valley


PHOENIX — The region is currently experiencing excessive heat, expected to persist through Tuesday, particularly impacting the Lower Colorado River Valley and southeast California.

Today, thunderstorms are likely in Arizona’s high terrain. By Tuesday, storms are predicted to spread across Arizona’s lower deserts, potentially bringing strong winds and dust storms. Rain chances are expected to linger into Wednesday before retreating to higher terrain areas towards the end of the week as conditions gradually dry.

Midweek temperatures are expected to align with seasonal averages but will rise again by the weekend.
