Summer extremes, hot and humid!

After another round of isolated showers tonight, temperatures in Phoenix are expected to climb above 110 degrees this weekend.

Shower and thunderstorm chances will persist into early next week, primarily affecting south-central Arizona. However, storm chances are expected to decrease by midweek as drier air moves into the region.

High temperatures will steadily rise over the next few days, peaking on Saturday with readings between 110-112 degrees across most of the lower deserts.

Beginning on Sunday, temperatures will begin to slightly cool as high pressure weakens.
