Savor Local Delights at Phoenix’s Legendary Culinary Hub

In mid-May, Terry Goddard, former Phoenix mayor and Arizona Attorney General, was joined by other stakeholders and Valley residents to celebrate the opening of The Monroe Street Abbey in downtown Phoenix (submitted photo).
The Abbey on Monroe, a newly transformed venue in downtown Phoenix, will host an exceptional dining event titled “Outstanding in the Field” on Thursday, October 10, starting at 4 p.m. Originally a historic church, The Abbey has undergone extensive restoration following a devastating fire, embodying both historical significance and modern elegance.
James Beard Award-winning chef Rene Andrade will lead the culinary experience, featuring dishes that highlight local agriculture and showcase the talents of Arizona’s homegrown chefs. Organizers describe the event as more than just a meal, calling it an “immersive journey” that emphasizes sustainability and creativity.
Located at 302 W. Monroe St., The Abbey aims to offer guests a unique and meaningful dining experience that connects them to the earth and local food sources. Tickets for the event are priced at $385. For further details and ticket purchases, interested residents can visit the official website.
