Santa Claus Makes a Joyous Return to Posse Grounds
Santa Claus is set to make a festive return to Posse Grounds Park in Sedona for the 15th annual Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 7, from 8 to 10 a.m. This popular community event typically draws around 500 attendees.
The event will feature a pancake breakfast complete with sausages and beverages, served until 9:45 a.m. The Sedona Parks and Recreation Department hosts this gathering as a special way to engage with the community.
“This is our one opportunity to look everyone in the eye, give them breakfast, and say ‘thank you,’” said Jason Vargo, Special Events Coordinator for Parks and Recreation. “The room fills with joy as everyone shares in a magical experience. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the community enjoy our efforts alongside our volunteers.”
Volunteers from the Sedona Red Rock High School Interact Club will lend their support by serving food, helping children write letters to Santa, and distributing goodie bags to participants.
New decorations will enhance the festive atmosphere, with dedicated photo opportunities available. “Our event will retain the elements you know and love, including a delicious breakfast and chances to visit Santa with your holiday wishes,” Vargo added.
Additionally, the local a capella group, Red RockAppella Ensemble, will perform an hour of caroling to elevate the holiday spirit.
For guests needing a quieter experience, a sensory-friendly time will be held from 7:30 to 7:55 a.m. This will feature lower lighting, no music, and a limited number of attendees, creating an accommodating space while still allowing Santa to engage with everyone.
