Rock Garden Controversy: Hearing Dates Announced!

The Historic Preservation Commission meeting on Sept. 16 will be the first in a series of public meetings where the case will be made for the Sunnyslope Rock Garden’s historic status (photo courtesy of Julia Taggart).
Residents engaged with the Sunnyslope Rock Garden’s historic status application can now mark their calendars. Four public meetings are scheduled to discuss the matter.
The initial meeting will occur on Monday, September 16, hosted by the Historic Preservation Commission. Following this, the North Mountain Village Planning Committee will convene on October 16. The Planning Commission is set to review the case on November 7, with a final presentation to the Phoenix City Council scheduled for December 4.
Community members interested in sharing their opinions are encouraged to attend these meetings.
