Rock Crawlers Blaze Trail at Inaugural ‘Run to the Sun’ Beer Fest
The 46th annual Run to the Sun event is set to commence with a vibrant Main Street cruise on Thursday night, featuring new attractions this year. Highlighting the festivities is the introduction of the limited-edition ‘Run to the Sun’ beer, which launched on October 1.
This unique brew is available in 16 oz collector cans at several local spots including Mudshark Brewery, American Legion, and Smith’s. Attendees can also purchase this special beer at the Show & Shine event, scheduled for Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Rock crawler enthusiasts will enjoy new displays showcasing these heavily modified four-wheel drive vehicles, renowned for their performance on challenging terrains. The Show & Shine event promises an up-close look at these impressive machines.
A new farewell coffee meet and greet is also part of the weekend’s schedule, taking place Sunday at 9 a.m. This event precedes a pancake breakfast, with donations supporting Cub Scout Troop #992. This marks the inaugural year for the farewell coffee gathering.
Proceeds from the entire event will benefit various nonprofits across Mohave County and Lake Havasu City. In a commendable effort in 2023, Relics and Rods contributed a substantial $61,500 to over 30 local organizations.
