A 36-year-old man, identified as Joshua K. Randall, has been arrested in connection with an organized theft ring following a violent incident at a Maricopa Walmart. Authorities report that Randall is accused of pistol-whipping an employee who attempted to intervene as he was attempting to leave the store with stolen merchandise.

Randall faces multiple charges including robbery, aggravated assault, organized retail theft, shoplifting, and theft related to the incident that occurred at the Walmart on West Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway. Surveillance footage captured Randall along with two accomplices as they wandered the store, gathering various items to steal.

At approximately 10:36 a.m., the two other suspects exited the store. One was seen riding a stolen electric scooter while the other entered a white SUV waiting in the parking lot. Meanwhile, Randall attempted to leave with a white laundry basket full of stolen goods when he was confronted by the Walmart employee.

During the altercation, Randall allegedly brandished what was later discovered to be a BB gun, threatening the employee with violence. Police reports indicate he struck the employee in the head and face before fleeing the scene. The victim suffered a concussion and a leg injury and was promptly taken to a local hospital for treatment.

After the confrontation, Randall picked up the laundry basket and made his way to the waiting SUV, where his accomplices were reportedly waiting. The vehicle fled the scene shortly thereafter.

Authorities apprehended Randall nearly a month later, on November 1. During the arrest, he allegedly declined to speak with law enforcement and requested legal representation instead. If convicted of the charges against him, Randall could face over 20 years in prison.
