Retailer Unveils Innovative Toy Take-Back Initiative
A new pilot recycling initiative launched by PetSmart aims to reduce waste from old pet toys by converting them into new products.
In collaboration with West Paw, a manufacturer known for eco-friendly dog toys and treats based in Montana, PetSmart is introducing a dog toy takeback program. Pet owners can drop off retired West Paw toys or other similar plastic or rubber toys at designated collection boxes in participating PetSmart locations. This initiative allows these items to be reintegrated into the production cycle, creating safe and durable new toys while preventing waste from entering landfills.
The PetSmart store located at 1949 E. Camelback Road is among the locations participating in this program. For more details, interested individuals can visit the PetSmart and West Paw websites.
