Pita Jungle is bringing back its “Empty Bowls” fundraiser this winter, allowing diners to support Arizona nonprofit Waste Not. The initiative focuses on sustainable food systems to benefit both people and the planet.

Starting Friday, November 29, Pita Jungle will offer a limited number of hand-crafted clay bowls from local artisans at various locations across Arizona. For $20, guests receive a bowl and a complimentary small dip or cup of soup, available for dine-in or takeout. Supplies are limited, and the campaign runs through December. Many customers will likely cherish these bowls as additions to previous collections or unique holiday gifts.

Every dollar collected will bolster Waste Not’s mission to combat food waste and hunger. The organization successfully rescued nearly 2.5 million pounds of food in 2023 through collaborative community efforts. Their partnership with the Arizona Clay Association enhances the impact of the Empty Bowls event, benefiting over 85 nonprofit agencies.

In North Central Phoenix, Pita Jungle can be found at 5505 N. 7th St. and 4340 E. Indian School Road. For further details, interested parties are encouraged to visit Pita Jungle’s official site.
