Reatta Danhof claims ACCAC Division I Individual crown as Pima cross country takes 2nd

The Pima Community College women’s cross country team showcased impressive performance at the ACCAC Division I Conference Championships on Friday, taking place at Glendale Heroes Regional Park.

Ranked No. 19, the Aztecs secured a second-place finish with a total of 37 points. Central Arizona College claimed the top spot with 25 points, while the College of Southern Nevada finished third with 73 points.

Sophomore Reatta Danhof from Ironwood Ridge High School stood out by winning the ACCAC Division I Individual title. She finished first in the 5K race, clocking a personal best of 19 minutes and 04 seconds.

Freshman Ella Allred, representing Benson High School, finished seventh with a time of 20:22. Meanwhile, sophomore Linda Rivero from Desert View High School also set a personal record, finishing eighth in 20:26.

Completing the top ten, sophomore Mariah Cruz of Mountain View High School crossed the finish line at 20:33. Sophomore Alyssa Perez from Agua Fria High School secured 11th place with a time of 20:36, achieving another personal best.

All five scoring athletes earned All-ACCAC honors, alongside freshman Elexia Aragon from Flowing Wells High School, who finished 12th at 20:45, freshman Karlee Pope in 13th place at 20:48, and Elizabeth Coppola from Pusch Ridge Christian High School, who took 15th with a time of 21:08.

The Aztecs are set to compete in the Vaquero CAMPY races on Saturday, October 5, hosted at Central Arizona College, with the first race scheduled for 7 p.m.
