Rapper Starlex Dorcely Faces Arrest Again, Charged with a Disturbing Sex Crime

Starlex Dorcely, a 28-year-old rapper from Maricopa, was arrested on March 8, 2025, after being accused of stalking and assaulting a girl at her high school earlier this year. His recent arrest stems from a reported sex crime that occurred at a residence on Portis Drive.

The incident took place when a resident was moving items into her home and discovered Dorcely hiding by her backyard gate with his pants down. According to a probable cause statement, upon being spotted, Dorcely “exposed his genitals and swung it around” in front of her, prompting the woman to call for her boyfriend’s assistance.

The boyfriend recorded a video of Dorcely until he exited the neighborhood. Thanks to their description, the Maricopa Police Department (MPD) was able to locate Dorcely at his home on Peggy Court, just a quarter-mile away from the scene of the crime. Upon arrival, officers noted he was wearing the same clothing as described by the victim and confirmed his identity through a one-on-one identification process.

Dorcely confessed to the police that he exposed himself due to being upset that the victim did not greet him. Notably, he and the woman were not previously acquainted. Authorities reported that Dorcely has a history of mental health struggles and previous stalking incidents involving local children.

In addition to this latest charge, Dorcely had violated other court orders since his last arrest just weeks prior. He has been charged with indecent exposure, third-degree trespassing, and disorderly conduct, facing potential jail time of over 13 months.
