Public forum set for police chief search

Following an unsuccessful initial recruitment, the Phoenix Police Department has relaunched its search for a new chief as of April. The process aims to fill the position promptly and effectively.

Interviews for potential candidates are set to commence this month. A public Police Chief Candidate Forum will also take place at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 16, in the Phoenix City Council Chambers. Those unable to attend in person can participate virtually.

The city anticipates announcing the new chief by July. For further details about the recruitment process or to submit questions for the forum, residents can visit www.phoenix.gov/pdchiefrecruitment.
