Property Feud Erupts in Gunfire: One Injured in Shocking Attack

In a troubling incident in Dolan Springs, a property dispute escalated into gunfire, leaving one man wounded and another in custody. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the scene in the rural area north of Kingman at 11:44 a.m. on Monday following reports of the shooting.
Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Anita Mortensen provided details, stating that the suspect, 24-year-old Skippton Pasaj, became agitated when a 57-year-old man from Las Vegas began clearing shrubbery from a property at the intersection of 5th Street and Iron Drive.
“Pasaj drove onto the lot in a reckless manner, performing donuts with his vehicle,” Mortensen explained. During this chaotic scene, the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
Emergency services arrived promptly, and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
Authorities tracked down Pasaj shortly after the incident and placed him under arrest. Although he acknowledged the dispute, he denied involvement in the shooting. However, a search of his residence revealed a rifle and two spent shell casings, indicating possible evidence related to the incident.
Pasaj now faces charges of aggravated assault, in addition to an outstanding warrant for an unrelated misdemeanor.
