Prepare for Winter’s Chill: Are You Ready?

Temperatures are declining and winds are intensifying as rain and snow approach Arizona. Calm and mild conditions will persist through Monday, but a storm system is set to arrive on Tuesday, bringing significant changes.

Beginning Tuesday, the state will experience increased winds, with gusts reaching 25 mph in lower desert areas and up to 45 mph in higher elevations. A High Wind Watch is in effect for parts of the Colorado River region, where gusts could hit as high as 60 mph, making these the strongest winds in the state.

Early Wednesday morning may see light showers in the lower deserts; however, the heaviest precipitation is anticipated in Eastern Arizona and mountainous areas. Snow levels are expected to fall to around 4,000 feet.

Once the storm passes, temperatures will normalize. From Wednesday onward, valley highs will range in the 60s.

TUESDAY: 68/41 – Increasing winds and clouds

WEDNESDAY: 65/41 – Mostly cloudy with chances of showers

FRIDAY: 65/42 – Sunny and near average temperatures

SATURDAY: 67/40 – Clear and sunny

SUNDAY: 66/41 – Continued sunny weather
