Police identify man killed in double shooting in west Phoenix on Friday


PHOENIX — A double shooting occurred on Friday night, resulting in the death of 25-year-old Andrue Encizo. Police responded to reports of the incident around 7 p.m. at a residence near 86th Avenue and Minnezona.

Upon arrival, officers learned that Encizo was transported to a local hospital by family before they arrived. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead shortly after reaching the medical facility.

Another victim was found at the scene with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is expected to recover from injuries classified as non-life-threatening.

Authorities detained several individuals for questioning as part of the investigation. According to police, the confrontation that led to the shooting involved a group of acquaintances engaged in an argument.

As of now, no charges have been filed, and all detainees have since been released. Investigators continue to explore the case, indicating that further charges may still be possible.
