Police Launch Probe into Fatal Shooting Incident in West Phoenix

PHOENIX — A shooting in west Phoenix has resulted in the death of a man, law enforcement officials confirmed. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday near the intersection of 27th and Campbell avenues.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were dispatched after receiving reports of gunfire in the vicinity. Upon arrival, they discovered a large crowd gathered and an individual on the ground with a gunshot wound.

Emergency services transported the victim to a local hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. At this time, authorities have not released the victim’s name.

Witnesses reported that the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. There have been no arrests made so far in connection with the shooting, and the investigation continues.
