Police Hunt for Leads After Arrest in Off-Road Vehicle Shooting Incident

The Lake Havasu City Police Department is investigating a shooting incident involving a resident and an off-road vehicle that occurred on Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 12:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Beachcomber Boulevard following reports of gunfire. According to Sgt. Kyle Ridgway, it was determined that an unauthorized Can-Am off-road vehicle was being driven on a track in the area when shots were fired.
Security personnel attempted to flag down the vehicle to have it removed. However, the driver accelerated past the guard, narrowly avoiding him. In a bid to stop the vehicle before police arrived, the security guard discharged a handgun at the tires of the fleeing vehicle.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. Police arrested 64-year-old Paul Woodley on charges of disorderly conduct with a weapon. He has since been released on his own recognizance following his initial court appearance.
The Can-Am was occupied by two males, with the driver described as being in his mid to late 20s and having shoulder-length brown hair. No identifying information was available for the passenger.
