Police Detain Juvenile Suspect After Youth Shooting Incident
Police say they responded to reports of shots fired around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.
PHOENIX — One adolescent boy is dead and one is in custody after a shooting in the West Valley, the Phoenix Police Department said.
Phoenix police officers responded to the area of 91st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road for reports of shots fired on Sunday around 2:45 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a juvenile boy suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Phoenix Fire pronounced the boy dead at the scene, police said.
A juvenile suspect was also detained at the scene, police said. No other details were given.
