Pima Democrats Choose New Leadership for Next Two Years

The Pima County Democratic Party has elected new leadership during their recent precinct committee meeting held on December 7. Eric Robbins will remain as chair for another two-year term, continuing his role in guiding the local party’s initiatives.
Tim Kosse has been appointed as the first vice chair, while Marana School Board member Hunter Holt, who narrowly secured reelection by just 10 votes last month, will serve as second vice chair. This leadership transition reflects the organization’s commitment to engaging its members effectively.
In the election for treasurer, Brian Bickel, who previously ran for Pima County treasurer in 2020, was chosen for the role. Additionally, Gretchen Winters has been elected as recording secretary, and Andy Flach will take on the duties of corresponding secretary.
Three at-large representatives were also elected during this meeting. Cecilia Valdez will focus on labor and Latino community issues, Jeanne Buell will represent rural interests, and Tom Prezelski has been elected to advocate for the Mexican-American community and South Side Tucson voters. A clarification was made regarding the election of Tom Prezelski, as the party’s press release initially misidentified him with his brother, Ted Prezelski.
Looking ahead, the Pima County Republican Party is set to elect its new leadership on December 14. Current chairman Dave Smith will not pursue another term. Notable candidates include Kathleen Winn, who previously ran for Congress in District 6 against Republican Juan Ciscomani, and Al Nichols, a finance professional.
