Phoenix Suns Star Grayson Allen Empowers Havasu Youth at Inspiring Basketball Camp
A unique opportunity brought aspiring basketball players from Lake Havasu City together with an NBA professional. On Sunday, members of Havasu Hoops participated in the Grayson Allen Youth Basketball Camp in Phoenix, where they had the chance to learn from Phoenix Suns shooting guard Grayson Allen.
The camp attracted talented players from the region, including Colton Stephens, Daycen McCabe, Joseph Durocher, and Bryson Bullock. According to Treasurer Ashlee Durocher, the event involved hands-on coaching from Allen, providing participants with valuable insights into the game.
Spanning several hours at the PHHacility, the camp featured various drills and competitive stations. “The camp brought together aspiring basketball players for a day of intense training and skill enhancement,” Durocher noted, highlighting how the players tackled challenges while gaining practical knowledge from lectures.
Participants were divided into age-appropriate groups, ensuring that instruction was tailored to each player’s level. Durocher praised the dedication of Havasu’s players, emphasizing their enthusiasm and commitment throughout the camp.
“The aim was to create a high-energy environment where young athletes could challenge themselves,” she added. For additional information regarding Havasu Hoops, interested individuals may reach out via email at havasuhoops@gmail.com or visit their Facebook page.
