PHOENIX — A shooting in Phoenix on Thursday night left one man dead and another hospitalized. The incident occurred near 40th Avenue and Camelback Road.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 9:30 a.m. on Friday, discovering 20-year-old Said Abdikadir dead inside a vehicle. He had been shot earlier that evening.

Further investigation revealed that another male victim had been taken to a nearby hospital after the shooting. His identity has not been disclosed, but he was connected to the incident that claimed Abdikadir’s life. The shooting is reported to have taken place around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday.

While multiple individuals have been detained for questioning, no arrests have been made as of yet. Detectives continue to pursue leads in the case, emphasizing the need for community assistance.
