Phoenix Police Investigate Fatal Hit-and-Run Involving Eye-Catching Vehicle

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of 32-year-old Celeste Gomez. The incident occurred on May 27 at approximately 10 p.m. near 30th Avenue and Van Buren Street.

According to police reports, Gomez was crossing the street outside of a designated crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle traveling west on Van Buren Street. The driver did not stop and fled the scene after the impact.

Authorities have released a security camera image of the vehicle involved in the crash and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses or those with potential leads are encouraged to contact Silent Witness.
