Phoenix police hunt for suspect in fatal shooting of 52-year-old man at home


PHOENIX — A murder investigation is underway after police discovered the body of 52-year-old Ted Vasquez at a residence near 59th Avenue and McDowell Road. He was found shot to death on Friday evening.

According to the Phoenix police, they received a welfare check call at approximately 8 p.m. When officers arrived, firefighters informed them of Vasquez’s death inside the home.

Initial investigations revealed that Vasquez was alone when he was shot. Family members confirmed this detail to the authorities.

Detectives are actively pursuing leads. They are examining evidence from the scene, interviewing witnesses, and seeking surveillance footage in hopes of identifying the shooter.
