PHOENIX — A Phoenix police officer was treated at a Valley hospital after being injured in a fight with an armed robbery suspect on Sunday night, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers pulled a car over around 9 p.m. on Sunday. They believed the individual inside was connected to an armed robbery that occurred earlier in the day.
During the traffic stop, the suspect engaged in a struggle with multiple officers, injuring one of them. The injured officer received on-site evaluation and later drove himself to a hospital for additional care.
