PCC center/forward Oldham's double-double average earns ACCAC Player of the Week nod

Pima Community College’s men’s basketball standout, Gabe Oldham, is making headlines following an impressive series of performances. The sophomore center/forward from Spanish Fork High School in Utah has been a formidable presence on the court, earning accolades from the ACCAC conference.

Oldham was honored as the ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for his stellar play during the week of February 2-8. His contributions were pivotal in Pima’s victories over Scottsdale Community College and Phoenix College, where he averaged 15 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists. In addition, he recorded four steals and two blocks, showcasing his defensive prowess.

With a shooting percentage of 63 percent from the field and 77 percent from the free-throw line, Oldham’s efficiency has been a significant asset for the Aztecs. Having played in 21 games this season, he has started 20 and is averaging 12.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game, while boasting an impressive 65.1 percent shooting from the field.

On the team front, the No. 2-ranked Aztecs secured a decisive 73-49 victory over Chandler-Gilbert Community College. They are set to return to the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium this Saturday to face South Mountain Community College, with the game scheduled to tip off at 4 p.m.
