More than 15,000 votes were cast and here is the play that was voted as the Friday Night Fever Sweet Play of the Week!


All week, fans have cast their votes to determine which play advances for a $5,000 scholarship!

PHOENIX — UPDATE, OCTOBER 25, 2024

The results for the Friday Night Fever Week 8 Sweet Play of the Week are in! A total of 15,677 votes were tallied, and Verrado’s Jack Isidore’s touchdown run took the lead with 11,668 votes, amounting to 74.4 percent.

This win allows Isidore to compete for the scholarship alongside other weekly winners at the season’s conclusion, sponsored by Sweet James Accident Attorneys. The second-place play came from Snowflake’s Gionn Jones, whose diving interception received 3,347 votes (21.3 percent). Red Mountain’s Bode Wagner claimed third with a juggling catch for a touchdown, gathering 662 votes (4.2 percent).

Isidore’s win marks another highlight in the 35th season of Friday Night Fever, Arizona’s premier and longest-running high school football show. Following is a look back at the previous weekly winners leading up to this point:

  • Week 7: Touchdown pass from Deer Valley’s Tyler Lebaron to Coleston Paxton
  • Week 6: Stiff arm from Boulder Creek’s Karsten Cornell resulting in a touchdown run
  • Week 5: Game-winning pick six by Highland’s Logan Bonham
  • Week 4: 70-yard catch and run for a touchdown by ALA-West Foothills’ Johnny Garcia
  • Week 3: Blocked field goal returned for a 90-yard touchdown by Benjamin Franklin’s Talan Speir
  • Week 2: 87-yard kickoff return by ALA-Queen Creek’s RJ Lopez Jr.
  • Week 1: Touchdown pass from Red Mountain QB Simon Lopez to WR Tyreke Cornett

As fans look forward to Week 9, the competition continues for the Sweet Play of the Week nominees. Initially, viewers will have the chance to vote for their favorites among the top three plays showcased each week on FNF. At the season’s end, the cumulative winners vie for the scholarship prize.

The voting period for the upcoming week remains open until Friday at 10 a.m. Tune in for results on Week 9 of Friday Night Fever, airing every Friday night at 11:35!
