FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — In a dominant display, the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks triumphed over Lincoln (CA) with a score of 66-6 on Saturday. This match marked the debut of NAU’s head coach Brian Wright, who witnessed his team score touchdowns on eight consecutive possessions.

Ty Pennington led the charge with a standout performance, contributing two touchdowns. He initiated the scoring with a 20-yard touchdown run and later connected with BJ Fleming for a 62-yard touchdown. Pennington completed 8 of 10 passes, amassing 116 yards.

Angel Flores also shone, throwing for two touchdowns while going 5-for-5 with 80 passing yards. He wrapped up the first half with an 8-yard pass to Bryzai White and a 13-yarder to Ta’ir Brooks, pushing the score to 45-6 by halftime.

Seth Cromwell added two short touchdown runs, achieving 43 yards on nine carries. A total of ten runners collectively racked up 233 rushing yards in the game. J’Wan Evans and Kenveon Stone contributed to the second-half score with short rushing touchdowns, while Evans led all rushers with 48 yards on six attempts.

For Lincoln, Jack Clavel connected with Darius Maxwell for a touchdown in the second quarter. However, in a remarkable defensive play, Ammon Allen intercepted the PAT attempt and returned it 97 yards, securing two points for the Lumberjacks.

The game also featured a special teams touchdown for Northern Arizona, as Elijah Taylor returned a blocked punt for a 15-yard touchdown.
