Normal Temperatures Expected This Week
PHOENIX — Showers and storms are expected again this afternoon and evening, especially in higher terrain areas. Drier air is anticipated mid-week, leading to a significant decrease in monsoon activity. Moisture may slightly rebound by the weekend, bringing back storm chances primarily in the elevated regions.
Temperatures will hover around normal levels this week. Interestingly, Phoenix set a new record on Sunday with 77 consecutive days above 100 degrees, surpassing the previous record of 76 days set in August 1993. The triple-digit streak is expected to continue, potentially setting new benchmarks.
