New Polls Reveal Biggs’ Dominance Over Robson and Expanding Advantage Over Hobbs in Governor Race

By Matthew Holloway |
Recent polls from Kreate Strategies indicate strong support for Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ-05) among Arizona Republicans ahead of the 2026 Gubernatorial Primary Election. The data reveals a substantial 5-to-1 lead for Biggs over his closest rival. In hypothetical matchups against current Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs for the General Election, Biggs shows a slight two-point lead, building on previous polls that suggested a modest one-point advantage.
Sean Noble, President of American Encore, shared insights from the polling, which surveyed 842 likely Republican voters for the primary and 1,070 likely voters (39% Republican, 32% Democrat, 30% No Party Preference) for the general election. The margin of error for this survey is +/- 3.1%.
Noble remarked to AZ Free News, “This poll further demonstrates that Congressman Andy Biggs is the clear nominee choice for Republicans, signaling a strong chance against Governor Hobbs’ policies.” The polling shows Biggs with a commanding 54-point lead over fellow Republican Karrin Taylor Robson, capturing 67% support compared to Robson’s 13%. He also leads Hobbs, 48% to 46%, with 6% of voters undecided. In contrast, Robson lags behind Hobbs in General Election polling, which indicates a 41% to 42% deficit, with 17% undecided.
In terms of favorability, Biggs appears to have solidified his support within Republican circles, enjoying a favorability rating of 49% with a low unfavorable response of 33%. Hobbs also has notable numbers, showing 44% favorability against a 49% unfavorable rating. Robson, however, struggles with a lower favorability at 29%, along with a 44% unfavorable rating and 27% undecided responses. Among Republicans, Biggs has an impressive 86% favorability compared to Robson’s 48%.
Historical polling from earlier this year pointed to Biggs consistently leading against multiple contenders, showcasing significant progress among independent voters and a rise in overall favorability. Major concerns for Arizona voters include inflation and job security, with 27% citing these issues. Immigration and border enforcement follow closely behind at 21%, with education quality and water policy receiving 9% and 8% respectively. Among Republican voters, immigration is the primary concern for 43%, while 18% prioritized inflation and job-related issues.
