New Poll Reveals Biggs Pulling Ahead in 2026 Governor Showdown Against Hobbs and Robson

By Matthew Holloway |
A recent poll indicates a potential shift in Arizona’s political landscape, suggesting that Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs may face challenges in retaining her seat. Conducted by Kreate Strategies and commissioned by American Encore, the survey reveals that likely voters favor Congressman Andy Biggs over Hobbs by a narrow margin of one point in a head-to-head matchup. Meanwhile, Karrin Taylor Robson trails Hobbs by two points in a similar comparison.
Interestingly, Biggs manages to connect with No Party Preference (NPP) voters significantly, with only 13% still undecided. In contrast, Robson’s campaign appears to struggle, as a larger segment—22%—of voters remain uncertain about their choice between her and Hobbs.
The poll results also underscore Biggs’ favorable perception. Forty-two percent of respondents view him in a positive light, in comparison to 41% for Hobbs and a mere 28% for Robson. This discrepancy suggests that Robson may lack the necessary name recognition to attract voter support effectively.
American Encore President Sean Noble commented on the findings, stating, “This poll shows that Congressman Andy Biggs is the best positioned to recapture the Governor’s office for Republicans in 2026. Given the mid-term challenges linked to President Trump, it’s crucial for Republican primary voters to nominate a candidate capable of defeating Hobbs.”
When evaluating Arizona’s direction, voter feedback appears critical, reflecting a growing discontent with Hobbs’ leadership. Noble interprets this sentiment as indicative of Hobbs’ vulnerability ahead of the upcoming election.
As the 2026 gubernatorial race heats up, the dynamics suggest Biggs holds a significant early advantage in the Republican primary against Robson, while Hobbs finds herself in a precarious situation.
