New Glendale Food Truck Erupts in Flames, Severe Burns Reported

GLENDALE, Ariz. — A newly opened food truck, Halimah, faced disaster Thursday after propane tanks reportedly exploded, igniting a significant fire. Family members stated that the truck had just started operations a week earlier, after months of preparation.
The owner received her operating license shortly before the tragic event. Her brother-in-law recounts a frantic call from his wife, alerting him that the food truck was engulfed in flames. At the time, both the owner and her brother were working inside and sustained serious injuries, requiring hospitalization for second and third-degree burns.
Witnesses noted emotional scenes as relatives arrived at the site, devastated by the destruction of the food truck. Firefighters reported that the vehicle suffered extensive damage, with the interior and exterior completely charred. Eyewitnesses described the explosion as sounding similar to a severe car crash.
The Glendale Fire Department is currently investigating the cause of the fire, which occurred in a convenience store parking lot at 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
