New Bodycam Footage Unveils Family’s Rapid-Fire Felony Charges in Just 15 Seconds

Body-camera footage released by the Maricopa Police Department on April 30, 2025, reveals a tense encounter involving a family and law enforcement that resulted in multiple felony charges. The incident, which occurred on January 22, 2024, involved Osvaldo Gomez, 55, his ex-wife Narda Castillo, 39, and their daughter Jazmine Gomez-Castillo, 20.
Police responded to a call from Narda, who reported someone breaking her window but hung up before providing further details. Upon arrival, Officer Andres Rivera Chavez found Osvaldo fleeing on foot, repeatedly shouting, “Don’t touch me,” while resisting arrest. The chaotic scene unfolded as family members gathered around Osvaldo.
Chavez’s body camera captured intense moments where Narda and Jazmine attempted to intervene as officers approached Osvaldo. In a shocking display, Jazmine reportedly slapped Chavez, leading to escalated tensions. Officer Zakary Louis then deployed a Taser on Osvaldo, while Narda attempted to prevent the probes from attaching. In response, she was also tased.
Following the altercation, both parents were handcuffed and placed in squad cars. Jazmine was later arrested as well. Officers found Osvaldo’s vehicle with a shattered window and discovered vandalism around the property. Narda’s garage door and front window had also sustained damage.
All three were charged with various felonies but saw most charges diminished through plea bargains. Osvaldo pled guilty to aggravated assault, while Narda admitted to resisting arrest. Jazmine had her aggravated assault charges dismissed in exchange for entering a deferred prosecution program.
