The shooting occurred in the 5700 block of North 41st Drive, near the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

PHOENIX — On Sunday, Phoenix police responded to a shooting in a West Valley neighborhood that left one man hospitalized, according to information from the department relayed to 12News.

Initial reports indicate that the shooting took place around 12:40 p.m. Officers found that the victim had been transported to the hospital by family members before they arrived on the scene. Fortunately, the man is now receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the incident, police spent approximately six hours at the scene, negotiating with a neighbor suspected of involvement in the shooting. Ultimately, authorities were able to apprehend this suspect, who is currently being questioned by detectives.
