Most Gov’t Offices Closed on Presidents Day, But Tucson-Area Schools Remain Open!

On Monday, government offices at the federal, state, and local levels in Arizona, including those in Pima County and Tucson, will observe a closure in observance of President’s Day.
Public transportation services, such as Sun Tran buses, Sun Van, and the Sun Link streetcar, will continue to operate on their usual Monday schedules.
Tucson residents can expect trash and recycling pick-up to proceed as planned, and the landfill at Los Reales Sustainability Campus will also be operational.
However, Pima County Public Library branches will be closed for the holiday, as will local courts. Additionally, there will be no U.S. mail delivery on this day.
Schools will remain open, with classes scheduled for local school districts, the University of Arizona, and Pima Community College.
While the Motor Vehicle Division offices will be closed, emissions testing stations are set to continue their operations.
As a result of the holiday, U.S. stock markets will not be trading.
