More than 100 Joann stores to close Monday: See the list of locations

Joann, the fabric and craft retailer, will close over 100 stores by the end of this month. This decision follows earlier announcements regarding a significant reduction in its U.S. store footprint.

In a statement, the company disclosed plans to shut down a total of 255 locations by the end of April. Many of these closures have already taken effect, with several stores closing their doors this past weekend.

Joann, which filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, marks its second bankruptcy within twelve months. The retailer’s history began in 1943 with a single store in Cleveland, Ohio, eventually expanding into a nationwide chain.

Formerly known as Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the business rebranded to “Joann” in honor of its 75th anniversary. Currently, more than 500 remaining locations are projected to close by the end of May.

Those affected by the recent store closures include locations in several states. For instance, in Arizona, stores in Casa Grande, Green Valley, and Tucson will cease operations this month.

As the restructuring unfolds, consumers and employees alike remain watchful of Joann’s future in a competitive retail landscape.
