Mohave County’s Nail-Biting Countdown: 1,900 Ballots Still Awaiting Results

A minor issue arose on Wednesday morning concerning the Secretary of State’s general election ballot progress website. Many counties displayed their estimated totals for uncounted ballots, but Mohave County’s entry appeared as two dashes, leading to confusion regarding the actual count.
Allen Tempert, the elections director for Mohave County, clarified that the dashes were intentional and not indicative of a system error. He explained that no ballots were entered into the system on Tuesday, as provisional ballots were not yet available.
Approximately 1,900 ballots remain to be counted, with updates expected by Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Roger Galloway, the communications director for Mohave County, confirmed that the Board of Supervisors plans to canvass the election results during their meeting scheduled for Monday, November 18. The canvass is included in the board’s consent agenda.
