Mohave County Fair Set to Attract Throngs of Excited Visitors
KINGMAN, AZ – The Mohave County Fair is set to commence its 78th year on Thursday, September 12, under the inviting theme, “Growing Fun Memories.” For many residents, this event is a cherished tradition that celebrates agriculture, arts, and entertainment.
Since last year’s fair attracted 24,000 visitors, over 50 employees and volunteers have diligently prepared for this year’s festivities. Parks Administrator Jeremy Palmer commended the dedication of all involved, including county workers and 4-H and FFA members. “It’s been a joint effort to make it the most successful ever,” Palmer stated.
Recent investments exceeding $30,000 have been made to improve fairground facilities. Upgrades include fire panel installations, electrical system enhancements for livestock stalls, and the implementation of energy-efficient lighting.
The fair promises a varied program designed to appeal to all ages. Attendees can look forward to 56 indoor vendors and 49 outdoor vendors, along with live music, entertainment, and educational exhibits. Notably, a Mohave County Youth Livestock Auction will occur on Saturday night.
Operating hours for the fair are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, while it concludes early on Sunday, closing at 4 p.m. Brown’s Carnival will open daily at various times, starting at 4 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Parking at the fairgrounds is complimentary. Admission fees are set at $12 for adults, $6 for seniors, veterans, and first responders, and $5 for children ages 5-12. Notably, children under 4 can enter for free.
